So for Lent I have given up Starbucks and at 1pm I’m already struggling. I do it every year but it never gets easier. I’m also going to commit to doing yoga every day which will also be a challenge but I’ll do it. It’s also midterms week so I haven’t been posting much but I’ll be back!

I’m proud that I’ve stuck to getting up early and doing yoga but this weekend will be a bit of a challenge because I have a lot of appointments and people staying at the apartment. Challenge accepted!
I need to get back to regulating my sleep schedule and I also need to get back to making time for daily yoga so I started today. Last night I went to bed a little earlier after doing yoga with my roommate and this morning I got up with the sun (6:45). I had my clothes laid out on my mat so that I wouldn’t even have to think too hard and I just changed and got right into yoga. I did a half hour practice for flexibility (something I don’t have much of so it was challenging!) Then I made breakfast and spent the rest of my morning on my mat eating, drinking tea, and doing homework. My goal is to stick to this pattern and I think I will because I know I’ve already been more productive today than I have all week. I want to slowly adjust my sleeping habits by getting up at sunrise every day until sunrise is at 6. Any earlier than this just isn’t necessary for me but if I like it I might keep going earlier. The challenge with this is going to be my time at home/with my boyfriend but I’m going to do my best!
P.S. If you’re inflexible like me I highly recommend using a strap (I just use an old scarf that doesn’t stretch) to help yourself improve. For example if you can’t reach your toes in seated forward bend, put the strap around your feet and lure yourself towards them! It really helps but don’t forget to breath!
